DFRobot ENS160 Indoor Air Quality Sensor Module - I2C Interface
The DFRobot ENS160 is an I2C digital air quality sensor module designed for indoor environmental monitoring, providing direct readings for TVOC, eCO2, and an Air Quality Index (AQI). It operates from a 3.3V to 5V supply, making it compatible with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ESP32, and other 3.3V/5V logic microcontrollers.
Features
- Multi-parameter IAQ sensing outputs TVOC, eCO2, and AQI values.
- Fast warm-up time of less than 3 minutes for rapid data acquisition.
- Integrated TrueVOCâ„¢ and MOX technology for superior accuracy and stability.
- I2C digital interface with a fixed address of 0x53 for easy system integration.
- Wide operating range of -10°C to 80°C and 5% to 95% RH (non-condensing).

The DFRobot ENS160 module integrates the ScioSense ENS160 digital gas sensor chip, which utilizes advanced metal oxide (MOX) sensing technology combined with proprietary TrueVOCâ„¢ signal processing. This combination enables precise detection of a wide range of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and accurate calculation of equivalent CO2 (eCO2) levels and a comprehensive Air Quality Index (AQI).
The sensor features intelligent on-chip algorithms that process raw data into stable, easy-to-interpret environmental metrics. A built-in automatic baseline correction (ABC) algorithm ensures long-term measurement stability by adapting to changing environmental conditions, making it ideal for continuous monitoring applications. The module includes a 1-meter cable for flexible installation and is housed in a probe-style form factor.
