Description
The Cytron SK1632 serves as a robust development platform for engineers and hobbyists looking to explore 16-bit and 32-bit PIC microcontrollers. This kit is specifically tailored for 28-pin PIC devices, including the powerful PIC24, dsPIC series with DSP engines, and the high-performance PIC32 family, ensuring broad compatibility for advanced embedded applications. The board comes equipped with both 3.3V and 5V voltage regulators, providing stable power for the chosen microcontroller and any optional external components like LCDs.
Designed with user convenience in mind, the SK1632 features a 28-pin IC socket, allowing developers the flexibility to choose and integrate their preferred PIC microcontroller (note: microcontroller is sold separately). On-board peripherals include a power indicator LED, a programmable LED connected to A0, a reset button, and a programmable push button linked to A1. A crucial addition is the USB micro-B socket, enabling the development of USB devices using compatible PICs and offering support for USB bootloaders. For program loading, the board includes a 6-way PICKit ICSP pin, facilitating seamless connection with PICkit3 programmers. Each PIC pin is extended to breadboard-friendly 2.54mm spacing pads, simplifying prototyping and circuit expansion.
