The AFD2 Series sensor operates on the Von Karman vortex principle, where a bluff body placed in the flow stream generates vortices at a frequency proportional to the flow velocity. This frequency is detected by a piezoelectric sensor, providing a stable and accurate digital signal. The design eliminates mechanical wear, making it ideal for applications with contaminated liquids.
Engineered for industrial and appliance integration, the sensor features a wide input voltage range of 11.4V to 25.2V DC and is built to withstand fluid temperatures from -20°C to 90°C. Its high pollution resistance and durable construction ensure consistent performance in HVAC systems, water treatment, medical equipment, and process control.
