The AS-10 Optical Sensor Switch utilizes a cadmium sulfide (CdS) photoresistor sealed within its housing to detect ambient light levels. This photoconductive cell, paired with an integrated control circuit, forms a robust photoelectric switch capable of automatically controlling lighting based on environmental conditions. The module operates on a 12V DC supply and is engineered to handle substantial loads up to 10A, making it suitable for direct switching of high-power lighting fixtures.
