The Arducam OV5642 camera module integrates the Omnivision OV5642 1/4-inch CMOS sensor, providing a complete, ready-to-use imaging solution for embedded systems. Its system-on-a-chip (SOC) architecture includes an on-chip Image Signal Processor (ISP) that manages automatic exposure, gain, and white balance, offloading these tasks from the host microcontroller.
