Description
The Compute Module 4 I/O Board is purpose-built as a companion board for the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4. It functions as both a comprehensive development system for engineers and makers, and as a versatile embedded board suitable for direct integration into production-ready products. Its design prioritizes ease of use and rapid system creation, enabling the utilization of readily available components such as Raspberry Pi HATs and PCIe expansion cards.
Key features include a PCIe Gen 2 x1 socket, which greatly extends the CM4’s capabilities by allowing integration of high-speed peripherals like NVMe SSDs, additional networking cards, or specialized USB controllers. The board also provides dual HDMI outputs, dual MIPI CSI camera connectors, dual MIPI DSI display connectors, and a Gigabit Ethernet port with Power over Ethernet (PoE) support. Critical connectors are strategically placed along one side, simplifying enclosure design and system integration for compact deployments.
