The Arducam 1080P Day/Night Vision USB Camera is engineered for continuous monitoring and machine vision tasks where lighting conditions are variable. Its core is a 1/2.7-inch OV2710 CMOS sensor with a rolling shutter, capable of streaming 1920×1080 resolution video at 30fps. The camera’s intelligent IR-cut filter mechanism automatically engages during daylight to block infrared light for true color reproduction and disengages at night, allowing the sensor to become highly sensitive to the 850nm spectrum emitted by its onboard IR LEDs.

This transition enables seamless 24/7 operation without manual intervention, a critical feature for security and automation systems. The camera draws power and transmits data via a standard USB 2.0 B4B-ZR connector, supporting a maximum power draw of 2.0W from a 5V source.
