The MAX6635MSA+ from Analog Devices is a monolithic digital temperature sensor designed for precision thermal monitoring. It integrates a high-resolution 12-bit sigma-delta ADC and a bandgap temperature sensor, converting ambient temperature directly into a digital value communicated via a two-wire I2C/SMBus serial interface. This eliminates analog signal conditioning requirements and simplifies integration into digital control systems.
Engineered for industrial-grade reliability, the sensor operates across the full -55°C to +150°C range with a typical accuracy of ±1°C. Its wide 3V to 5.5V supply range makes it compatible with both 3.3V and 5V logic systems. The device is housed in a compact, industry-standard NSOIC-8 package, suitable for automated surface-mount assembly and high-density PCB layouts.
