Description

This real-time clock (RTC) module integrates the DFRobot Fermion SD3031 chip, which features an embedded crystal oscillator and a temperature compensator. This combination ensures high-precision timing and exceptional stability across varying environmental conditions. At a standard temperature of 25 °C, the module guarantees an accuracy of ±3.8ppm, equating to an error of approximately ±0.32832 seconds per day.

The SD3031 is designed to be powered by button-cell batteries (CR1220 compatible, not included), allowing it to maintain accurate timekeeping even when the primary power source is interrupted. The RTC diligently tracks seconds, minutes, hours, days of the week, dates of the month, months, and years. It also includes automatic date adjustments at the end of each month and performs leap year corrections. For additional utility, the DFRobot Fermion SD3031 Precision RTC incorporates a built-in 70-byte SRAM, providing a small but valuable capacity for low-power data storage.

Please note that due to recent air cargo regulations, special items such as batteries are strictly audited for air transport. Consequently, this RTC module does not include a battery. A compatible CR1220 button cell battery will need to be purchased locally.
