Allegro MicroSystems ACS758LCB-050B-PFF-T Hall Current Sensor Module - 50A Bidirectional
The MCU-758 module integrates the Allegro MicroSystems ACS758LCB-050B Hall-effect linear current sensor IC, providing bidirectional DC current sensing up to ±50A. It operates from a 3V to 5V supply and outputs an analog voltage proportional to the measured current, making it compatible with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and other 3.3V/5V microcontroller systems.
Features
- Bidirectional DC current sensing up to ±50 Amperes.
- Based on the monolithic Allegro MicroSystems ACS758LCB-050B Hall-effect IC for high reliability.
- Operates from a single 3V to 5V DC supply with low 13.5mA quiescent current.
- Provides a ratiometric analog voltage output centered at VCC/2 with 40mV/A sensitivity.
- Compact module form factor (37mm x 18mm) for easy integration into power monitoring systems.

This sensor module utilizes a Hall-effect integrated circuit (IC) to measure current flow through its integrated conductor path. The ACS758 IC provides galvanic isolation between the current path and the sensor electronics, enhancing safety and reducing noise. The output is a linear, analog voltage that is factory-trimmed for accuracy, with a quiescent output of VCC/2 when no current is applied.
The module is designed for robust operation across an industrial temperature range of -40°C to 150°C. Its monolithic construction and optimized internal magnetic circuit result in extremely stable performance with nearly zero magnetic hysteresis, ensuring repeatable measurements in both forward and reverse current directions for applications like battery charge/discharge monitoring and motor control.
