Description

The Adafruit Feather M0 Bluefruit LE is an advanced, all-in-one development solution that combines Arduino compatibility with integrated Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) functionality. This board is specifically engineered for portable projects, offering built-in USB connectivity and LiPoly battery charging capabilities. Its BLE module makes it an excellent choice for applications requiring seamless communication with iOS, Android, macOS, or Windows 8+ devices, making it perfect for mobile-centric embedded systems.

At the core of the Feather M0 Bluefruit LE is the powerful ATSAMD21G18 ARM Cortex M0 processor, operating at 48 MHz with 3.3V logic. This microcontroller, also found in the Arduino Zero, boasts a substantial 256KB of FLASH memory and 32KB of RAM, providing significantly more resources than many traditional microcontrollers. The chip’s native USB support eliminates the need for external USB-to-Serial converters, streamlining programming and debugging workflows.

For extended portability, the board features a dedicated connector for 3.7V Lithium polymer batteries and an integrated 100mA charger with a status indicator LED. It automatically switches between USB and battery power when available, ensuring uninterrupted operation. An analog pin connected to the battery via a divider allows for real-time battery voltage monitoring, facilitating intelligent power management in deployed applications. The additional Bluefruit BTLE module further enhances its wireless capabilities, complemented by two status indicator LEDs.
