The Magic Cup Tilt Switch Sensor Module is a basic sensing board designed for orientation detection. Its core component is a sealed glass tube containing a small amount of conductive mercury. When the module is tilted beyond a specific angle, the mercury flows to one end, bridging two internal contacts and closing the switch circuit, outputting a HIGH signal. Tilting it back opens the circuit, resulting in a LOW signal.
This digital output is read by a microcontroller via the signal (S) pin, while the onboard LED (L) pin allows for direct PWM-driven brightness control or simple on/off indication. The module’s straightforward interface and low power consumption make it suitable for introductory electronics and prototyping, enabling projects like interactive toys, simple leveling devices, or tilt-activated triggers.
