The KSD302 is a bimetallic disc thermostat, a robust electromechanical switch that opens or closes a circuit in response to temperature changes. The bimetallic element, housed within a ceramic insulator, deflects at its calibrated setpoint (60°C), causing the normally closed (NC) contacts to snap open, interrupting power to the connected load. This provides fail-safe overheat protection or basic temperature regulation.
Its ceramic construction ensures excellent electrical isolation and withstands high ambient temperatures.
