The HLK-LD2411S module utilizes a 24GHz millimeter-wave radar chip combined with a high-performance microstrip antenna and a dedicated MCU. Its FMCW (Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave) waveform and proprietary signal processing enable accurate detection of both human motion and subtle micro-movements, along with precise distance measurement. The sensor’s flat beam design (20° azimuth, 45° pitch) allows for targeted coverage, ideal for scenarios where a single, primary target needs to be monitored.
Engineered for continuous operation, the module features a low average current draw, making it suitable for battery-powered or always-on applications. The integrated RM01 firmware handles complex signal analysis, outputting processed data that can be easily interfaced with host controllers via UART for real-time monitoring and system integration in smart home, security, and automation projects.
