Generic M12 Inductive Proximity Sensor 4mm PNP-NO DC6–36V - 1.1m Cable
This M12-threaded inductive proximity sensor operates on a 6-36V DC supply and provides a PNP normally open (NO) output for direct connection to PLCs, microcontrollers, and industrial control systems. It detects ferrous and non-ferrous metal targets at a nominal sensing distance of 4mm.
Features
- M12 threaded metal housing for robust industrial mounting.
- PNP Normally Open (NO) output compatible with 6-36V DC control systems.
- 4mm nominal sensing distance for precise metal object detection.
- Integrated reverse polarity and short-circuit protection.
- IP-rated construction (dust/water/oil resistant) for harsh environments.

This shielded inductive proximity sensor utilizes an electromagnetic field to detect the presence of metal objects without physical contact. When a metal target enters its sensing field, eddy currents are induced, causing a change in the internal oscillator’s amplitude. This change is processed by the sensor’s circuitry to switch its solid-state PNP output.
Built with an M12 threaded metal barrel and a 1.1-meter attached cable, the sensor is designed for direct panel mounting in industrial automation, CNC machinery, and robotic systems. Its wide operating voltage range and built-in protection features ensure reliable operation in environments with vibration, dust, and occasional fluid exposure.
