The Winsen MG812 operates on a solid electrolyte cell principle. When exposed to carbon dioxide, an electrochemical reaction generates an electromotive force (EMF) between its sensitive electrode and reference electrode. This output voltage is directly proportional to the CO2 concentration, providing a stable and selective measurement signal.
Engineered for reliable performance, the sensor features an integrated heater for optimal operating conditions, ensuring consistent sensitivity and minimal drift from ambient temperature and humidity variations. Its metal shell provides mechanical robustness for integration into fixed installations and portable monitoring devices.
