The MPY20-A112T pyroelectric sensor utilizes a high-performance lithium tantalate (LiTaO3) single crystal as its sensitive element. This material boasts a Curie temperature exceeding 600°C, ensuring minimal variation in its pyroelectric coefficient across a broad operating temperature range of -40°C to +80°C. This results in exceptional signal stability with a typical temperature drift of only 1-2‰, making it ideal for applications requiring consistent, long-term measurements.
Designed in a standard TO-39 metal can package, the sensor module operates in voltage mode with an integrated JFET for impedance matching. It features a dual-element configuration and internal thermal compensation, enhancing its rejection of common-mode environmental noise. The recommended operating voltage spans from 2 to 12V DC, with an optimum output load of 47kΩ to maximize signal integrity.
