Achieve highly accurate airspeed readings for your fixed-wing Pixhawk-based aircraft with the MS4525DO Digital Airspeed Sensor. Supplied complete with its own pitot tube, this unit is engineered to deliver precise data critical for stable and efficient fixed-wing flight.
Utilizing a very high-resolution, low-offset digital pressure sensor, the MS4525DO can register extremely accurate airspeed readings. It measures speeds up to 100m/s (223mph/360kmh) with an impressive 0.84 Pa resolution, delivering data at 14 bits from a 24-bit delta-sigma ADC. The sensor also incorporates temperature measurement, crucial for calculating true airspeed from indicated airspeed by referencing the MS5611 static pressure sensor on the Pixhawk. Positioned away from heat-generating processing components, it provides more accurate air temperature readings compared to older analog sensor setups. Supported across all Pixhawk and PX4 autopilot generation boards, this kit comes with standard M3 / 6-32 mounting holes for straightforward installation. Please note, this unit is exclusively designed for fixed-wing aircraft and is not required or functional for multi-rotor applications.
