The MDIM-485/WL is a compact, industrial serial server designed to bridge the gap between legacy RS485 fieldbus networks and modern IP infrastructure. It functions as a transparent gateway, enabling seamless, bidirectional communication between Modbus RTU devices on a serial line and Modbus TCP/IP clients over Ethernet or Wi-Fi. This eliminates the need for hardware changes when integrating industrial automation equipment into centralized SCADA, HMI, or IoT platforms.
Engineered for demanding environments, the gateway accepts a wide-range DC power supply from 6V to 36V, with typical operation at 12V or 24V DC. Its robust electrical design incorporates protection against voltage surges, ESD, and fluctuations, ensuring stable operation in facilities like factories, utility substations, and building management systems.
