The Waveshare IMX219-160 Camera Module integrates a Sony IMX219 CMOS sensor into a compact, developer-friendly form factor. It provides a native 8-megapixel resolution with a wide 160-degree field of view, making it suitable for AI projects requiring broad scene capture, such as face recognition, object detection, and autonomous navigation. The module connects directly to the CSI-2 camera interface on supported single-board computers.

Engineered for low-power edge AI, the module operates on a 3.3V supply and is pre-configured for plug-and-play use with NVIDIA’s JetPack SDK and Raspberry Pi OS. Its fixed-focus lens with an f/2.35 aperture ensures good low-light performance, while the mechanical design includes mounting holes for secure installation in robotics, smart city infrastructure, or industrial inspection systems.
