Description
The Waveshare Thermal Imaging Camera HAT (B) integrates a long-wave infrared sensor onto a compact Raspberry Pi HAT form factor. Its hybrid sensing technology combines a microbolometer for imaging with a thermopile for accurate temperature calculation, enabling non-contact thermal measurement across a wide -40°C to 400°C range. The board operates without a mechanical shutter, providing uninterrupted thermal video feeds suitable for real-time monitoring and analysis.
Designed for system integrators and developers, this thermal camera HAT outputs processed thermal data and images via the Pi’s GPIO interface, compatible with standard Raspberry Pi OS libraries. Its robust construction supports industrial environments, making it suitable for embedding into IoT systems requiring thermal awareness, from automated inspection to predictive maintenance and smart building controls.
