The Winsen F1012 Micro Gas Flow Sensor utilizes a sophisticated MEMS thermal sensing chip to detect gas flow rates with high precision. Its operation is based on the thermodynamic principle, where the heat dissipation from a heated element is proportional to the mass flow rate of the gas passing over it. This method ensures excellent repeatability and a fast response time.
The sensor incorporates an internal temperature sensor, enabling automatic temperature compensation to maintain measurement accuracy across its full operating temperature range from -25°C to 65°C. The conditioned signal is output as a linear analog voltage, starting from a 1.00V zero-flow baseline, which simplifies interfacing with analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) on microcontrollers or industrial control systems. Its compact design is engineered for durability in demanding applications.
