Description

The Waveshare RP2040-LoRa-LF Development Board is a compact, integrated platform for designing long-range, low-power wireless IoT endpoints. It combines the processing capabilities of the Raspberry Pi RP2040 microcontroller with the robust Sub-1GHz RF performance of the Semtech SX1262 transceiver. The board is optimized for the 410-450MHz low-frequency band, offering superior penetration and range for applications in remote sensing, industrial telemetry, and smart agriculture where Wi-Fi or Bluetooth range is insufficient.

Engineered for developer convenience, the module features a castellated design for direct PCB integration and includes a separate USB Type-C adapter board connected via a flexible FPC cable. This allows for versatile mechanical placement while maintaining easy access to programming and serial debugging. The SX1262 chip provides industry-leading link budget with programmable output power and advanced features like preamble detection and a 256-byte packet engine, making it suitable for reliable, intermittent data transmission in LPWAN-style networks.
