Description
The Waveshare IMX708 Camera Module is a compact, high-performance imaging solution built around the Sony IMX708 CMOS sensor. It delivers 12-megapixel resolution with support for High Dynamic Range (HDR), enabling it to capture detailed images with balanced exposure even in scenes with high contrast. The module features a fixed-focus 2.75mm lens with an f/2.2 aperture, providing a 75° wide-angle field of view suitable for capturing broader scenes in robotics, AI training, and surveillance setups.
Designed for seamless integration with the Raspberry Pi ecosystem, it uses the standard MIPI CSI-2 camera serial interface for high-speed data transfer. The module operates at 3.3V and includes I2C control lines for managing auto-focus functionality, allowing developers to programmatically adjust focus for different application needs. Its compact PCB design with a plastic lens housing makes it easy to mount in custom enclosures and projects.
