The Waveshare ESP32-H2 Mini Development Board is engineered around Espressif’s ESP32-H2FH4S, a RISC-V 32-bit single-core processor optimized for low-power, multi-protocol wireless applications. This compact castellated module integrates a full suite of IEEE 802.15.4-based radios, enabling concurrent or selective use of Bluetooth Low Energy 5, Zigbee 3.0, and Thread protocols, making it an ideal foundation for Matter-compatible smart home devices and industrial mesh networks.
With 4MB of onboard Flash memory, developers have sufficient storage for complex firmware, over-the-air (OTA) updates, and device provisioning data. The board’s power architecture is designed for efficiency, supporting deep sleep modes to extend battery life in field deployments. A comprehensive GPIO breakout provides direct access to SPI, I2C, UART, I2S, ADC, and PWM interfaces, facilitating rapid prototyping with sensors, displays, and actuators.
