The STEVAL-IKR002V1D daughter board integrates the STMicroelectronics SPIRIT1, a highly efficient low data rate transceiver optimized for sub-1GHz RF wireless communication. Operating at 169MHz, this board provides a flexible platform for developing a wide range of wireless applications requiring reliable short to medium-range connectivity.
Designed for power-sensitive applications, the SPIRIT1 transceiver boasts very low current consumption during both receive (9.2mA) and transmit (18mA at +11dBm) operations. Its excellent receiver sensitivity, down to -123dBm, ensures robust signal reception even in challenging RF environments. The module supports various modulation schemes including 2-FSK, GFSK, MSK, GMSK, OOK, and ASK, with a programmable air data rate from 1 to 500kbps, making it suitable for diverse communication protocols, including wireless M-BUS applications.
