The Sonoff DW1 Wireless Magnetic Sensor functions as a wireless contact switch, utilizing a sealed magnetic reed switch. When the attached magnet is separated from the sensor body (e.g., by opening a door), the internal circuit is triggered, causing the 433MHz RF transmitter to send a coded alarm signal. This signal is received by a compatible Sonoff RF Bridge, which then relays the status to the cloud for notification via the eWeLink mobile application.
Engineered for low-power operation in always-on security systems, the sensor draws minimal current in standby mode. Its 433MHz frequency provides reliable penetration through walls and obstacles.
