The Grove – Vibration Sensor (SW-420) v1.1 is a digital switch-type sensor module. In its stable state, the internal circuit is closed, and the output signal remains HIGH. Upon detecting vibration, shock, or a significant tilt, the internal spring contact momentarily opens, causing the output to drop to LOW. This provides a clear, binary signal for event detection.
The module features a waterproof and compression-resistant design for improved durability in various environments. An onboard potentiometer allows for fine-tuning of the sensor’s sensitivity threshold to adapt to different vibration amplitudes, making it suitable for applications ranging from light taps to heavier impacts.
