SEA YF-DN40 Plastic Hall Effect Turbine Flow Sensor G1½" 5-150L/min
The SEA YF-DN40 is a G1½” (DN40) plastic-body turbine flow sensor with a Hall effect output, designed for inline water flow measurement from 5 to 150 L/min. It operates on a 5-24V DC supply and provides a pulse output proportional to flow rate, making it compatible with PLCs, Arduino, and industrial flow meters.
Features
- Hall effect sensor outputs pulse signal proportional to flow rate (F ≈ 0.45 * Q pulses per second).
- Wide flow measurement range from 5 to 150 liters per minute (L/min).
- Rugged plastic housing rated for hydrostatic pressures up to 1.75 MPa.
- Broad 5-24V DC operating voltage range for flexible system integration.
- High insulation resistance (>100 MΩ) for reliable operation in wet environments.

The YF-DN40 flow sensor employs a mechanical turbine rotor paired with a non-contact Hall effect sensor. As fluid passes through the sensor body, it spins the rotor; the embedded magnet in the rotor triggers the Hall sensor with each revolution, generating a digital pulse train. This pulse frequency is directly proportional to the volumetric flow rate, enabling precise flow measurement and totalization in liquid handling systems.
Constructed from durable plastic, the sensor is designed for continuous duty in water applications, withstanding pressures up to 1.75 MPa. Its wide operating voltage and pulse output interface allow for straightforward connection to microcontrollers, frequency counters, or dedicated flow totalizer modules, providing a cost-effective solution for irrigation, industrial process control, and liquid dispensing.
