This expansion HAT utilizes the Pi 5’s dedicated PCIe x1 interface, supporting both Gen2 and Gen3 standards, to provide a significant upgrade over traditional microSD card performance. It accommodates M.2 NVMe (M-key) drives in popular 2230 and 2242 sizes, making it ideal for operating systems, large data sets, and demanding applications.
Beyond its core storage capabilities, the HatDrive! Top is designed with robust power management, featuring a 3A @ 3.3V regulator to ensure stable power delivery to the NVMe SSD.
