Description

The Pimoroni Picade X HAT USB-C provides an integrated solution for building custom arcade cabinets and control interfaces with Raspberry Pi. This HAT simplifies wiring with no-fuss female Dupont connectors for joysticks and buttons, eliminating the need for complex soldering. Users simply mount the HAT onto their Raspberry Pi, connect a USB-C power supply directly to the HAT (which subsequently powers the Pi via the GPIO), and wire up their controls.

Beyond robust control input, the Picade X HAT USB-C features an I2S audio DAC with a 3W mono amplifier and convenient push-fit terminals, delivering clear sound for arcade projects. It also includes a safe power on/off system controlled by a tactile button with LED indication, ensuring proper shutdown of the Raspberry Pi. Breakout pins are available for additional power, I2C communication, and extra buttons, offering flexibility for advanced customization.
