The PH02 operates on two standard 1.5V LR44 button cell batteries, which are not included with the unit. Ensure batteries are properly installed with correct polarity for the device to power on and function. The low-power design provides extended operational life for field use.

The meter supports two-point automatic calibration using standard pH buffer solutions. Use the included buffer powder sachets to prepare calibration solutions (typically near pH 4.01 and 6.86 or 9.18). Follow the manual's procedure to immerse the probe, initiate calibration mode, and confirm the readings for accurate subsequent measurements.

This pH meter is designed for testing aqueous solutions, including tap water, aquarium water, pool water, hydroponic nutrient solutions, and various food-grade liquids. Avoid using it in non-aqueous solvents, highly viscous fluids, or solutions outside the 0–80°C temperature range, as this may damage the electrode or provide inaccurate readings.

For optimal sensor life and accuracy, always rinse the electrode with distilled water after use and store it with the protective cap on. If the meter will not be used for an extended period, it is recommended to store the tip in a pH storage solution or a mild buffer to keep the glass membrane hydrated and responsive.
