The NBB8-18GM50-E2-V1 is a robust inductive proximity sensor from Pepperl+Fuchs’s NBB series, engineered for precise position detection in automated machinery. It operates on the principle of electromagnetic induction, where an internal oscillator coil generates a high-frequency field. When a metallic target enters the 8mm sensing zone, it dampens the oscillation, triggering a solid-state PNP switch.
Designed for flush mounting in metal installations, the sensor delivers consistent performance with a high switching frequency up to 500 Hz. Its nickel-plated brass housing provides excellent corrosion resistance, while the IP67 sealing protects internal electronics from industrial contaminants like coolants and metal chips. The wide operating voltage range ensures compatibility with various DC power supplies common in control panels.
