The OV7670 Camera Module integrates a complete VGA-resolution image sensor and processor onto a single chip, encapsulated in a compact module with a 24-pin SCCB connector. It operates on a low 2.5-3.0V supply, making it ideal for battery-powered embedded systems and IoT devices requiring basic vision capabilities. The sensor’s proprietary technology minimizes common image artifacts like fixed pattern noise and smearing.
Control and configuration are performed entirely through the SCCB interface, which mirrors I2C timing, allowing straightforward communication with popular development platforms like Arduino, ESP32, or Raspberry Pi.
