OrangeCrab R0D2-25 ECP5 FPGA Development Board

Description

The OrangeCrab R0D2-25 is a compact and versatile FPGA development board built around the Lattice ECP5 LFE5U-25F-8MG285C, an ECP5 family FPGA. Designed for RISC-V softcore SoC experimentation and general FPGA logic implementation, this board adheres to the Adafruit Feather specification, enabling seamless integration into various prototyping environments. Its direct USB-C connection facilitates straightforward programming and full-speed data communication with the FPGA.

Equipped with 128MiB of DDR3L memory and 128Mbit of QSPI Flash, the OrangeCrab R0D2-25 provides ample resources for complex designs and program storage. A MicroSD socket extends storage capabilities for larger projects. Power management includes a LiPo battery connector with an integrated charger, supporting portable and embedded applications. The board also features a 48MHz oscillator for reliable clocking, along with user-addressable I/O options including a button, an RGB LED, 20 general-purpose I/O pins, and 6 analog I/O lines.
