The NEO-M8N GPS and Compass module represents a significant upgrade for DJI Naza M V1 and V2 flight controller systems, bringing modern navigation technology to a robust platform. Utilizing a u-blox M8 series engine, this module boasts a 72-channel receiver capable of tracking multiple global navigation satellite systems simultaneously, including GPS/QZSS L1 C/A, GLONASS L10F, and BeiDou B1. This multi-GNSS capability ensures higher signal availability and integrity, resulting in improved positional accuracy, typically achieving 0.6 to 0.9 meters, which is a considerable enhancement over previous generation GPS units.
Designed with a powerful 32-bit processor, this module seamlessly integrates with DJI Naza M V1 and V2 flight controllers, outperforming older 8-bit solutions in data processing and responsiveness. Its construction includes features like active CW detection and removal for anti-jamming, an onboard SAW bandpass filter to minimize signal interference, and a metal foil label on the bottom to further reduce electronic noise. The module comes with a soft silicone gel cable for flexible installation, pre-wired with standard color coding (black=GND, white=TX, yellow=RX, red=5V), operating within a 3.3-7.5V input voltage range. Proper compass calibration upon initial setup is crucial for optimal performance, ensuring accurate heading data for your Naza-equipped aircraft.
