The MPM60-C4 is a MEMS-based particulate matter sensor engineered for automotive cabin air quality monitoring. It employs a laser scattering detection principle, where a laser diode illuminates particles and a photodetector measures the scattered light intensity. This analog signal is processed through proprietary mathematical algorithms and factory calibration to output precise PM2.5 mass concentration values in μg/m³.
Designed for the harsh automotive environment, the sensor operates from a 9-16V DC vehicle supply and communicates via a Local Interconnect Network (LIN) bus, making it directly compatible with automotive HVAC control modules. Its robust construction ensures reliable performance across a wide temperature and humidity range, enabling real-time air quality assessment and automated recirculation control to protect passenger health.
