The HS-S27P tilt sensor module functions as a basic digital orientation switch. Its core component is a conductive steel ball housed within a cavity containing electrical contacts. When the module is tilted or vibrated beyond a specific threshold, the ball rolls to bridge these contacts, closing the circuit and causing the digital output pin to switch from a default HIGH state to a LOW state. This provides a clear, binary indication of a change in orientation or the presence of vibration.
Designed for simplicity and reliability, the module includes on-board signal conditioning to provide a clean digital signal compatible with 3.3V and 5V logic microcontrollers like Arduino, ESP32, and Raspberry Pi. Its compact form factor and pre-soldered 2.54mm pitch pin headers facilitate rapid prototyping and integration into various projects requiring basic tilt or shock detection.
