The HS-S20P-B Ambient Brightness Sensor operates on a photoconductive principle, where its sensing element’s resistance varies proportionally with incident light intensity. This change is conditioned into a linear analog voltage signal output on the ‘S’ pin, providing a direct and real-time measurement of ambient brightness levels.
Designed for seamless integration into automated control systems, the module’s output can be read by any microcontroller ADC pin. Its compact, PCB-mounted form factor and PH2.0 terminal wire interface facilitate easy installation in lighting fixtures, smart home devices, and energy management systems, enabling precise adjustment based on environmental light conditions.
