The Hi-Link HLK-LD2401 operates on the Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave (FMCW) principle at 24GHz, emitting a continuous microwave signal that reflects off targets. By analyzing the frequency shift of the returned signal, the module can not only detect motion but also sense stationary or slightly moving human bodies, a significant advantage over basic PIR sensors. Integrated signal processing and proprietary algorithms filter out environmental noise to provide reliable presence data.
This sensor is engineered for indoor smart automation and energy-saving systems, offering configurable parameters like detection distance zones, sensitivity per zone, and post-detection delay. Its UART interface provides real-time data output including target distance and motion status, while the GPIO offers a simple high/low trigger. The module is designed for seamless integration into embedded systems, IoT platforms, and industrial control environments requiring reliable, non-intrusive human sensing.
