The FS200A YF-G21 water flow sensor employs a Hall-effect sensing principle. As liquid flows through the valve body, it spins a magnetic rotor assembly. The rotational speed of this rotor is directly proportional to the flow rate. An integrated Hall sensor detects each rotation of the magnet, generating a corresponding digital pulse signal. This pulse output can be easily counted by a microcontroller to calculate instantaneous flow rate and total volume.
Constructed with a robust plastic body, the sensor is designed for integration into water lines, with clear directional markings for correct installation. It features a wide operating temperature range from -25°C to +85°C, making it suitable for various residential and light industrial monitoring applications, including irrigation systems, liquid dispensing, and HVAC flow control.
