The DFRobot Gravity Analog Grayscale Sensor V2 utilizes a photoconductive cell (LDR) paired with a dedicated white LED to measure surface reflectivity. The onboard LED provides a controlled light source, ensuring consistent illumination independent of ambient conditions. The sensor’s resistance changes in response to the intensity of reflected light, which is converted into a proportional analog voltage signal for microcontroller processing.
Designed for reliability, the sensor features an immersion gold PCB finish for corrosion resistance and a robust connector for extended lifecycle. Its output is linear across a grayscale spectrum, making it ideal for applications requiring differentiation between light and dark surfaces or monitoring light level transitions.
