DFRobot Gravity Infrared CO2 Sensor 400–5000ppm - PWM Output
The DFRobot Gravity Infrared CO2 Sensor is a high-precision NDIR-based module designed for Arduino and other 5V microcontroller systems. It provides accurate carbon dioxide concentration readings from 400 to 5000 ppm via a PWM output signal, ideal for indoor air quality monitoring and environmental data logging.
Features
- NDIR (Non-Dispersive Infrared) sensing principle for high accuracy and selectivity.
- Wide measurement range from 400 ppm (baseline) up to 5000 ppm CO2.
- PWM output signal for easy integration with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and other microcontrollers.
- Low power operation with an average current draw of 40mA at 5V DC.
- Robust performance with temperature compensation and anti-water vapor interference.

This CO2 sensor utilizes mature NDIR technology, which measures the absorption of specific infrared wavelengths by carbon dioxide molecules. This method provides excellent selectivity, avoiding cross-sensitivity to other gases, and ensures long-term stability with an operational lifespan of up to 5 years. The integrated precision optical path and sophisticated signal conditioning circuit deliver reliable ppm readings.
The module operates within an industrial temperature range of -10°C to 50°C and up to 95% relative humidity (non-condensing). It features a fast preheat time of approximately one minute and a T90 response time under 120 seconds. The PWM output provides a duty cycle directly proportional to the CO2 concentration, simplifying data acquisition without complex analog-to-digital conversion.
