Description

The BeagleV-Ahead represents a significant advancement in open-source hardware, integrating a powerful RISC-V instruction set architecture within a compact single-board computer form factor. At its core, the board utilizes the Alibaba T-Head TH1520 system-on-chip, which includes a quad-core RISC-V 64GCV Xuantie C910 CPU clocked at 2GHz, alongside an Imagination BXM-4-64 GPU and a dedicated Neural Processing Unit (NPU) capable of 4TOPS@INT8 for efficient edge AI acceleration.

Designed for flexibility, the BeagleV-Ahead provides 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 16GB of on-board eMMC flash storage, ensuring ample resources for complex applications. Its hybrid network connectivity is robust, featuring integrated 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi, complemented by a Gigabit Ethernet port for reliable wired connections. The board is further enhanced with a broad spectrum of I/O interfaces, including USB 3.0, micro-HDMI, microSD, CSI and DSI connectors for camera and display peripherals, and a mikroBUS shuttle connector for easy expansion with add-on boards.
