The AFM3020 mass flow sensor utilizes Aosong’s advanced thermal sensing technology, combining a MEMS thermal sensor chip with a high-performance integrated 24-bit ADC and CMOS microprocessor. This design enables precise measurement of gas mass flow by detecting the heat transfer caused by the moving fluid, resulting in fast signal processing and superior accuracy compared to conventional methods.
Operating from a 4.75V to 5.25V DC supply, the sensor outputs fully calibrated and temperature-compensated digital data via I2C, eliminating the need for external signal conditioning. Its specialized flow channel geometry ensures minimal pressure loss, making it extremely suitable for sensitive applications such as medical ventilators, respiratory equipment, and industrial gas mixing systems where system integrity is critical.
