Description
The AI-Thinker RD-01 is an advanced radar module developed for human presence detection and versatile IoT connectivity. At its core, the radar component leverages Sidian Micro’s S3KM111L chip, an integrated monolithic single-wave sensor SoC based on FMCW radar technology, operating in the 24GHz K-band with up to 1 GHz modulation bandwidth. This sophisticated setup allows for precise detection of targets within a defined space, and combined with intelligent radar signal processing, it can accurately identify both moving and static human body states.
Complementing its radar capabilities, the RD-01 module integrates Wi-Fi and BLE functionalities through a BL602 chip. The BL602 serves as the core processor, featuring a low-power 32-bit RISC CPU, 276KB of RAM, and a rich array of peripheral interfaces including SPI, UART, I2C, PWM, ADC, and GPIO. This dual-chip architecture enables the RD-01 to transmit detection results in real-time via Wi-Fi and BLE. Furthermore, it offers visual configuration tools and supports wireless parameter adjustment for induction distance, sensitivity, and delay times, greatly enhancing the efficiency of deployment, operation, and maintenance.
