The GY-SPH0645LM4H module integrates a SPH0645 MEMS microphone element, which converts acoustic pressure into a digital PCM signal via an on-chip analog-to-digital converter. This digital output is transmitted over the standard I2S (Inter-IC Sound) bus, providing a clean, noise-immune audio stream suitable for demanding signal processing tasks. The module’s all-digital pathway from the MEMS transducer to the I2S output pins ensures signal integrity is maintained, even in electrically noisy environments common to embedded systems.
Designed for 3.3V logic systems, the module includes a SEL pin for configuring the I2S channel as left (SEL to GND) or right (SEL to 3.3V), enabling stereo array setups. Its performance parameters, including a -26 dBFS sensitivity and support for standard sampling rates up to 44.1kHz, make it suitable for applications requiring precise audio capture and analysis without the complexity of external ADC circuits.
