This sensor module employs the Allegro MicroSystems A1101, a continuous-time Hall-effect switch that generates a low digital output when a sufficient south pole magnetic field is applied perpendicular to its face. The sensing principle relies on the Hall effect, where a voltage differential is created across a semiconductor in the presence of a magnetic field orthogonal to an applied current.
The module is designed for robust operation with a 5V DC supply and includes signal conditioning circuitry for a clean, digital output compatible with 3.3V and 5V logic systems. Its compact form factor and standardized Crowtail connector make it ideal for prototyping and embedded system integration requiring non-contact magnetic sensing.
