The TLI5012B E1000 sensor detects the orientation of a magnetic field using monolithic integrated Giant Magneto Resistance (iGMR) elements. These elements measure the sine and cosine components of the magnetic field, which are digitally processed on-chip to calculate the absolute angle of orientation with high precision.
The device is factory pre-calibrated, with calibration coefficients stored in secure laser fuses, ensuring consistent performance across an extended operating temperature range and throughout its service life. An internal auto-calibration algorithm continuously refines measurements, providing robust diagnostic functions and status reporting for reliable system integration in demanding motion control environments.
