The MPY20-A112T sensor employs the pyroelectric effect, where infrared radiation from target gas molecules (CH4) causes a temperature change in the lithium tantalate crystal, generating a proportional electrical charge. This voltage-mode sensor includes an integrated JFET for impedance conversion, delivering a stable output signal with minimal temperature drift. Its TO-39 hermetic package ensures reliable operation in demanding environments.
Engineered for precision, the sensor offers excellent spectral response consistency and a low thermal time constant of 150 ms for responsive detection. It is designed for direct integration into gas analyzers, safety shut-off systems, and portable leak detectors requiring high sensitivity and long-term stability.
